I’ve always believed that small businesses are built on dreams, courage, and long hours — and I love being part of that journey. My passion lies in helping owners not just track their numbers, but understand them in a way that brings clarity, confidence, and direction.

My path in accounting began when I moved to Austin, Texas, to pursue my education. I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin, an accomplishment I’m incredibly proud of. My first step into the professional world was at the Internal Revenue Service, where I worked as a customer service representative helping taxpayers resolve their issues. It taught me patience, accuracy, and how important it is for people to feel heard and supported.

I went on to earn my Master’s degree in Accounting from St. Edward’s University and joined KPMG as an auditor. My auditing years taught me to think critically, look deeper, and understand exactly what auditors expect to see in clean, credible financials.

After KPMG, I stepped into the dynamic world of a family office, supporting real estate, nonprofit, and investment work all under one roof. This environment taught me how to be flexible, agile, and responsive — because every client and every business has a unique story and unique needs.

When my two children were born, I chose to work more closely with our family businesses and be present at home. But my love for bookkeeping, taxation, and helping individuals never faded. I continued preparing taxes, supporting business owners, and expanding my expertise.

Eventually, that passion grew into something bigger — the creation of EFR Books & Tax LLC.
